I'm Alex, an electrical engineer with more than 20 years of professional experience, currently working for a global automotive company.
Outside work, home automation is a long-standing passion. I design and build custom sensors and controllers on the ESP32, using ESPHome and programming them from scratch.
I built this site to give the WLED community calculations that are transparent and include sensible safety margins. Every formula is published in full, and corrections are always welcome. See About and How the Calculator Works.

Electrical estimates can affect real installations, so mistakes are taken seriously. When a correction is reported we check it against the manufacturer datasheet, update the tool or guide if needed, and record the change on the What's New page.
